An End-of-Life Doula offers compassionate, non-judgmental, and non-medical holistic support to individuals nearing the end of life. My services extend to both the dying person and their loved ones, providing guidance and comfort throughout the final stages. I empower individuals to make informed decisions about their end-of-life care, including burial or funeral plans. By educating families and the dying, I help them understand the natural stages of dying, demystifying the process and reducing fear and anxiety during this challenging time.

End of life doula services Includes:

Elder care doula work. Elder care doula work provides compassionate practical, emotional, and sometimes physical (non-medical) support to elderly clients. Also known as companion care, this role focuses on offering comfort, companionship, and assistance with daily activities, ensuring that seniors receive the care and attention they need to live with dignity and peace.

Providing Support and comfort to the terminally ill through respite care. Respite care offers short-term relief for primary caregivers, giving them a much-needed break while ensuring their loved one continues to receive compassionate care. When someone is seriously ill, family members may feel the need to stay by their side constantly, which can be emotionally and physically exhausting. For those nearing the end of life, the process can extend over days or weeks, making it difficult for caregivers to step away. Respite care allows caregivers to rest and recharge, ensuring that they can continue providing support without compromising their own well-being.

Facilitating Legacy and Life Review Projects Legacy projects. Legacy projects provide an opportunity for individuals—regardless of their health status—to create a lasting, tangible reflection of their life story, values, or experiences. These projects are often intended to be passed down to future generations or serve as a meaningful gift or memorial for loved ones. Life review projects, while similar, are more personal in nature. They allow individuals to reflect on their own journey and can remain private, offering a deeper connection to one’s past without the intention to share with others.

Conducting Living Funerals. A living funeral offers a meaningful opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate a loved one’s life while they are still present. This unique experience allows individuals to actively participate in the remembrance and sharing of memories, providing a space for connection and reflection. For the terminally ill and their families, living funerals can also offer comfort, helping them come to terms with the approaching death while honoring a life well-lived.

Facilitating with post-Death Home Organization also known as material artifact support. This service involves assisting individuals in sorting through the belongings of a loved one who has recently passed. This process can be deeply emotional and overwhelming, as it requires navigating through personal items while managing grief and memories. I provide compassionate, organized, and respectful support to help ease this difficult task, allowing you to honor your loved one’s legacy while reducing the stress of the organizational process.
